EDI Implementation Intake Form
The general implementation requirements document. It collects the business, technical and operational details required to configure, test and deploy EDI transactions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, so configuration can start on day one.
1. Company information
Company name, DUNS number, parent company if applicable, address, and the primary contact with title, email and phone. Three further contacts are named: IT or EDI technical, accounting or finance, and supply chain or logistics.
2. Business overview
- Brief description of business operations and primary industry (manufacturing, distribution, retail, and so on)
- Estimated monthly transaction volume across all transactions (850s, 810s, 856s and others)
- Trading partners being implemented
- Whether the company currently uses an EDI provider or VAN, and how many
- Whether Framework EDI replaces or integrates with the existing EDI system
3. Technical environment

4. Connectivity and communication

- Whether an AS2 certificate exchange is required, and the contact for certificate and key management
- File naming convention
5. Functional testing plan
Expected go-live date and the trading partner's test contact.
6. Exception handling and error management
- Preferred method of notification: email, Teams, or Framework Advisor in the application
- Contacts to receive error notifications
- Escalation path for critical errors
Customer approval
By signing the form, the customer acknowledges that the information provided is accurate and authorizes Framework Systems, Inc. to begin configuration and testing of the EDI integrations.
