Supply Chain Integration and Intelligence for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Connect your external supply chain with Framework Interchange. Bring AI assistance to your supply chain with Framework Advisor.
Framework Interchange manages trading-partner integration across EDI, APIs and other supported methods of electronic business exchange. Framework Advisor brings AI-assisted capabilities to the supply-chain information and processes already inside Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Supply chain intelligence means connecting external business activity with the supply-chain information and business context already inside Microsoft Dynamics 365, so you can better understand what is happening across your supply chain. Framework Systems delivers this through Framework Interchange and Framework Advisor. Framework Systems is not a general-purpose demand planning, forecasting, warehouse management or supply-chain optimization suite.

"Processed successfully" does not necessarily mean the business process succeeded.
A trading-partner transaction can be technically valid, accepted and processed, and still create a business or operational problem. That is why trading-partner transactions need to be connected to the business context that already exists in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
One question separates EDI solutions for Dynamics 365
Can it take native Dynamics 365 data and construct, validate and transmit a trading-partner-compliant document, in X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON or API, over the partner's own connection, without a third party ever processing your data?
The same standards and the same transactions can be handled four different ways. They give very different answers to who processes your data.

White paper: Dynamics 365 and AI, the architecture decision
Why the shape of your data, not the data you pick, decides whether AI gives you answers you can act on, and what that means for EDI and API integration in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
For Microsoft Dynamics VARs, implementation partners, consultants and ISVs
Framework Systems works as a technology partner that complements an existing Microsoft Dynamics practice. You keep your customer relationship. ISV-VAR packages are available.
No. Framework Interchange focuses on electronic trading-partner integration. EDI is a major part of that capability, but Framework Interchange is not limited to traditional EDI. It sends, receives, translates, maps, validates and processes trading-partner transactions involving EDI, APIs and other supported methods of electronic business exchange, and it includes Interchange-specific Framework Advisor capabilities that bring AI assistance into the integration process.
Does Framework Interchange require a VAN?
No. Framework Interchange can transmit trading-partner transactions directly between your Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment and your trading partners. A VAN is only required when a trading partner requires it, in which case that VAN can be used as part of the required connection. Framework Systems does not require customers to route transactions through a proprietary Framework Systems VAN or hosted transaction network.
Is Framework Systems an EDI company?
Framework Systems goes beyond EDI. Framework Interchange provides the trading-partner integration foundation, and Framework Advisor brings AI-assisted capabilities to the customer's broader supply chain.
What is the difference between Framework Interchange and Framework Advisor?
Framework Interchange is the trading-partner integration product: it connects the external supply chain to Microsoft Dynamics 365. Framework Advisor is the AI-assisted product for the customer's supply chain, working with the supply-chain information and processes inside Microsoft Dynamics 365. Framework Interchange includes Interchange-specific Framework Advisor capabilities. It does not include every Framework Advisor capability.
What happens to our trading-partner configurations and mappings?
Trading-partner configurations, mappings and your accumulated integration work remain within your Microsoft Dynamics 365 environment, rather than depending on a proprietary external Framework Systems transaction-processing platform. Some proprietary Framework Systems source code is encrypted to protect Framework Systems intellectual property. Other portions remain available for appropriate extension.
